What a wonderful world

We live in a wonderful planet, which has unique conditions for the existence of life:

- The distance from Earth to the Sun and is not close enough to suffer damage to the huge waves of heat is not too far so that the sun's rays can not reach the earth's surface;

- There are mild temperatures and water in liquid form, which allowed the emergence of the first forms of life, therefore, the human species;
- The mass of the Earth;

- The existence of the atmosphere that protects us from deadly solar radiation;

- The constant geological activity, which allows the Earth is a planet alive.

This planet has so much to tell us? Why we have to destroy it ?

STOP GLOBAL WARMING

"I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world"
Louis Armstrong

What Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong

Imagine - Eva Cassidy

"Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky

Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too

Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say,
I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day
You'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say,
I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day
You'll join us
And the world will be as one"

3 R's Politique

It was once a very very very old lady, who was called Earth. This lady was very quind to all children, but three of them were more arrivals to her:
- John;
- Ana Rita;
- Mariana;

One day this lady (who was very very very old) was seriously ill. And the children knew that, because the lady Earth use to tell them big stories until evenings sunset. But that afternoon Mrs Earth did not appear.

The disease that the lady had (who was very very very old) was very serious. Her name was global warming, and it made the Mrs Earth as warm as a kettle of tea, sweat, and was so red that seemed a tomato.

And the three children had an idea ...
We must help the earth lady!

And the three made a plan in which each offered a kind of gift.
Then John decided to offer the reduction.
With this gift he promised to reduce all packages of plastic, paper and metal, so that the Earth does not tire so much.
Mariana decided to offer re-use.
With this gift Mariana promised to give all the clothes that were small to her, for those who needed more, use again all the bottles of water that she drank, rather than throw in the trash, so that you earth not getting bored with work to do everything again.
Ana Rita decided to offer Recycling.
With this gift, Ana Rita promised to use sheets of recycled paper, cork and wear clothes at all times the separation of its packaging. She gave this gift so that lady Earth could smile again.

And with all these gifts Mrs. Earth (which was very very very old) are gradually began to recover.
She get out of her bed more often to come to the window, smile more, and until one day...

The three children had the pleasure of listening to Earth to tell them all their stories. And that, despite the children not knowing, it was a special day.

Dont Worry Be Happy - Holly Dolly

Veganism is a diet and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose.

Those who follow this diet, will endeavor to not use or consume animal products of any kind. The most common reasons for becoming a vegetarian is a moral or ethical commitment, conviction on animal rights, the environment, human health, and religious or spiritual concerns.

Of particular concern are the practices involved in factory farming and animal testing, and the intensive use of land and other resources for livestock production.

This topic is covered once again with the first issue posted by me "what we can do to leave the tightrope" because, as the initial issue of our blog, "what we can do to stop global warming" and that makes us be on the tightrope, to answer these questions for me is simple: We must change our habits common, like our homes and customs.

And it is there that enter this comment ... Our common experiences are not the most correct. It is the moment when we must begin to think about the practices involved in factory farming and animal testing, and the intensive use of land and other resources for livestock production. Apart from being a pure activity of cruelty to animals (who deserve good conditions so as ours), these crops pose a threat to our own health because the waste produced by these animals are not reused ...

They are released to rivers or linen Aquatics underground, threatening our health and even worse, the ecosystems of other animals ... Is the right thing to do?

Bio - Architecture

In response to the last sentence of the previous article posted by me (how can we leave the tighrope?)I decided to set out some options for life from the philosophies of life projects ... I Decided to start addressing the issue of Bio - Architecture.

Briefly, the Bio - Architecture is a part of Architecture prefers the use of natural materials that do not undermine the nature, and that the ecologic footprint of its construction is the minimum possible.

For those who do not know, the ecologic footprint is indicative that measures the space and resources that are used by the Society. Our Ecological Footprint, you should be thinking, its really huge, because every day use billions and billions of natural resources, and often not as easily as we put them again should.

In Architecture Biological materials used, must meet the highest possible relationship to the environment, and to avoid the use of chemicals, like:
-We bet on bad drivers of energy materials, namely, the heat (or energy) is too slow for the middle inside the external environment, so as to maintain a pleasant environment at home.

It is thought the habitat as a space for protection but also for the promotion of health of body and spirit.

An example of Portuguese Bio - Architecture is the Gerês House, a home that fully respects the habitat where you are. A person comes to confuse it with the environment around. It is these examples that we should follow ... Seizing the resources that nature gives us and enjoy a balanced way.

In the TighRope

As we all know, the world is in collapse.
Man adapted to the world, adapting them as well. He provided great breakthroughs, cures to diseases. But it also has major problems that threaten life on this planet, as the destruction of ecosystems, air pollution, fishing trawler by the sport hunting.
It is important to be aware that our society is undergoing a major problem climate and that we must all contribute to the decline. Because after all, we are the ones who created this problem.
Since Industrial Revolution happened (séc. XVIII), the amount of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere grow up 25%. The carbon dioxide (among other gases) is a major contributor to the increase of greenhouse gas emissions and thus to global warming.
For those who do not know, the greenhouse effect right a natural phenomenon, caused by certain gases in the atmosphere, that keep our planet with temperatures retain certain because only a small part of the sun that the Earth.
We know that by reading the greenhouse effect is a natural process that allows us to live.

If we had not the greenhouse effect we would live like this:

But since the Industrial Revolution (do not worry that I will not rewrite that will) the concentrations of carbon dioxide has increased and consequently:

- Many scientists think the Earth is now entering its sixth great extinction phase. The global warming will helps the destroyng of the biodiversity

- The world's greatest environmental challenge with increased storms, floods, drought and species losses predicted, the climate change;

- Hazardous chemicals are now found in the bodies of all new born babies, and an estimated one in four people worldwide are exposed to unhealthy concetrations of air pollutions.

Like Joaninha says:
"Não sei se sim, se não....

Não sei se agora, se depois...

Não sei se sempre, se nunca...

Não sei se hoje, se algum dia...

Não sei se fique, se vá...

Não sei se leve, se deixe...

Não sei se fale, se fique calada...

Não sei se ria, se chore...

Não sei se agarre, se deite fora...

Não sei se dê um passo, se vire costas..."

What we have to do to leave this tighrope ?
